We are currently looking for an ambitious CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER / CONTROLS ENGINEER (C& I / PLC) with a broad-ranging background in the process industries. The appointed Engineer should ideally have a qualification in a relevant discipline such as Electrical Engineering.
The role of a Control Systems Engineer will require the individual to undertake the following duties:
* Feasibility, outline and detailed electrical and C&I design work
* Control and instrumentation systems functional specification and design, PLC system software configuration
* Understanding, interpreting and responding to the needs of other departments
Production of electrical, control and instrumentation design documentation and drawings including:
* Specifications, P&IDs, Control philosophies, Instrument schedules and Control system & communications block diagrams
* Undertake site surveys of existing installations
* Undertake Site based commissioning work if required
* Liaison with clients both internal and external
Candidates will be computer literate and able to work effectively with Microsoft Office as a minimum.
Design experience within the Water Industry sector would be an advantage, including areas such as potable water production and distribution and waste water treatment.
Experience of designing and working with LV electrical equipment and working with the WIMES specification would also be beneficial.
Ideally, candidates should also to be able to demonstrate design experience of one or more of the following:
* PLC and SCADA systems design and configuration
* Fieldbus networks
